So I really do have a great goal of writing down the cute things my kids say and do. I'm really good at taking pictures of them, but since I accidentally left my camera on and killed the battery I won't be downloading any on this post, haha, sorry.
Just a few things I want to remember that happened this month:
Upstairs making dinner and I heard a crash and Sammy crying. I come downstairs, comfort Sam and ask Blaz what happened. He put his hands over his face and yelled, "You figure it out Mommy!!!"
He is very sensitive and would rather run away and leave the room than have me get after him. If he does something accidentally that he knows wasn't a good idea, he just takes off running for another room. He's so good at comforting Sam and helping him feel better.
In the mornings Blaz loves to give everybody hugs and he says, "I'm so glad you're my mommy." And to Sam, "I'm so glad you're my brother." He immediately asks where daddy is, what he's doing, when he's coming home, what truck he's driving, what highway he's driving on, etc.
Sam is now officially 18 months and in nursery. I love this stage, they seem to go from baby to little boy in my eyes. He loves to talk and mimic his brother. He loves to eat and will eat most things we serve him. He especially loves grated cheese, tomatoes, yogurt, croutons, strawberries and chips.
Sam loves to read, and he makes the biggest book pile messes in every room. He carries the books all over the house chasing me yelling, "read read!! read read!!" until I sit down with him and go through the pages. He loves books about animals the most.
He's gone to nursery about 5 times, but it usually doesn't end well, haha. He loooooves the music time and the snack time, but he has a hard time with the free play. He is the youngest in his class, and they have a really small room. He usually falls asleep in there, or cries until they take him out to me. He has really good teachers, he will start enjoying it soon I'm sure.
We love our new house. The kitchen is small, and I'm constantly bumping around in there, but the spacious playroom/family room downstairs makes up for it all. I have my computer desk, the tv and sectional in one corner of the room, and then all of the kids toys go on the other side. We spend a lot of our day down here, love it!
I have lots of laundry to do, and a dishwasher to unload, so I'm going to say goodbye for now. And sorry about the no pics, lol, my bad.

For Nancy: Christmas Part 1
Blaz is always so excited to see cousin Eli. As soon we got there, Grandma gave the boys wrapping paper rolls as swords. It took all of 5 minutes before they were destroyed.
We had the usual Christmas Eve program, singing Christmas songs while Grandma plays the piano and Grandpa reading the Christmas story from Luke 2.
And we had an exciting game of Greed. Nancy made Blaz cry by stealing the socks that he opened, haha. The Melendez family got all of the good chocolate somehow
I made little signs for my boys to hold up during the nativity story. (And there's Juan dodging the camera, of course. I think I only got one picture the whole holiday of my husband, sheesh)
Christmas morning!!! We were all delightfully spoiled.
For Nancy- Christmas part 2

Idaho Falls Week 8

I had to leave early on a Saturday morning for our ward's primary party. The boys decided to be lazy and go back to sleep.
After I showered and got ready, I snuck back in the room and couldn't resist taking a picture of my sleeping boys.
Isn't it funny how they both have their arms up?

Idaho Falls Week 7

A Thanksgiving miracle, Blaz actually let Grandma hold him for a while:)
He thinks Grandpa (or Bumpa, as we call him) is much cooler!
